Mission Leadership Council!!!!
On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, the members of the Mission Leadership Council
met at the Västerhaninge Chapel for our training for this transfer. The
theme for the training was "Twice in White" as we focused on
remembering that our responsibility as missionaries doesn't end with the
baptism of our investigators. We need to be able to see our
investigator friends "Twice in White" as we help them to be able to
attend the temple, doing baptisms for their deceased family members and
after one year, going through for their own temple endowment. Our
Assistants taught the Council members about the importance of reteaching
the lessons after baptism and setting up a temple visit calendar for
these new converts.
After being in the Chapel, we took the Council members outside to sit in
view of the Stockholm Temple. Sister Beckstrand taught the members the
importance of the endowment, being Endowed with Power. It was a great
MLC and the Lord blessed us with a beautiful day.
After a Picnic sack lunch, we strolled on down to the Viking Burial
Grounds, receiving the reminder that the Sweden Stockholm Temple is
truly built upon sacred ground, hallowed by the ancient Vikings as a
very special place.
Our Swedish Arrival!!!!
On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, we traveled to the airport to pick up Äldste
Åström, who has been serving in the Arizona Gilbert Mission. Elder
Åström has been reassigned to the Sweden Stockholm Mission until he
receives his medical release for a several hip problem. We welcomed him
home to Sweden and he will serve in the Mission Office until his
release is processed. Pictured left to right are: President and Sister
Beckstrand, Sister and Elder Koyle, Elder Åström, Elder Payne, Elder
Adcox, and Elder and Sister Clouse.
