The Beckstrand’s final round of Zone Conferences. Our Mission Farewell Tour!!!!!

Monday, May 22,2016, we held our Office Meeting in Stockholm and then in the early afternoon we loaded up the Santa Fe and began our last journey to Malmo.  Our purpose was to have our last round of personal interviews with our missionaries and to hold our final Zone Conference with each of our Zones.  Sister Beckstrand wanted to honor the missionaries and so she helped create the theme for our Farewell Tour, “One in a Minion Missionary.”

After our interviews in Malmo, Helsingborg, and Halmstad, we drove into the night on Tuesday and arrived in Goteborg.  On Wednesday, we had a full day of interviews at the Vastra Frolunda Chapel, where we set up for the newxt day’s Zone Conference.

The cultural hall was set up for the luncheon, and on Thursday, May 25, 2017, we convened with members of the Malmo and Goteborg Zones for our Farewell Zone Conference.

Our Assistants, Elder Jensen and Elder Jamsa began the instruction centered on Mark 5 and the miracles of Jesus Christ.

We were favored by a special musical number performed by Sister Hill and Sister Cappuccio with Sister Botchway at the piano.

Sister Beckstrand taught the missionaries the importance of CTR, for our missionaries after they return home, Current Temple Recommend.  She informed the missionaries that regular attendance at the temple will help them to stay on the straight and narrow path.

President Beckstrand taught the message of “Finishers Wanted” from a 1972 General Conference address by then Elder Thomas S. Monson.  President Beckstrand strongly encouraged the missionaries to be finishers for the Lord, not only here on their mission, but throughout life’s journey.
