Mission Tour 2016!!!!!!

We were so blessed this year to have Elder Timothy J. Dyches and Sister Jill Dyches assigned to come to Sweden for our annual Mission Tour.  Elder Dyches was called to be a General Authority in April 2013.  He has been serving in the Europe Area Presidency as 2nd Counselor for the past three years.  We were so excited to have he and his wife come and teach our missionaries.  Elder and Sister Dyches began the tour on Tuesday, June 14th and finished the tour with a special MLC meeting on Friday, June 17th.  We were truly blessed to be taught by them and to feel the love of the Savior through them.

 Our Assistants, Elder Bradshaw and Elder Hemmingsen traveled with us the four days and we certainly appreciate all that they did to make the Mission Tour a huge success.

 

Sister Beckstrand and Sister Dyches had a wonderful time together and created a lastning friendship.

Sister Banks and Elder Larson provided a beatiful music number in Västra Frölunda and Elders Baquedano, Barnes, Blackburn, and Halterman sang a wonderful piece of "How Great Thou Art" in Västerhaninge.

 Sister Dyches instructed on the importance of love and having great faith in the work.  She shared a wonderful example of Enoch from the scriptures with us.

 Elder Dyches was masterful as he provided training and instruction to our missionaries on how they can become "Master Teachers" as they share the gospel message with people.

Master Teachers are very careful to "Simplify, Clarify, Verify, and Testify.

 Our missionaries were very attentive as they engaged in a great activity from Elder and Sister Dyches, making Missionary Shirt origami.

A shout out to our wonderful Senior Couples who helped with the meal both in Västerhaninge and then in Täby for the MLC meeting on Friday, June 17, 2016.  Elder and Sister Koyle with Elder and Sister Dyches, and Sister and Elder Clouse.  We love our Senior Couples and are so grateful for all they do to help the mission continue to move forward.

We concluded our Mission Tour 2016 with a special Mission Leadership Council on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Täby Ward Chapel.  Members of the MLC are back row, left to right:  Elder Richardson, Elder Heiner, Elder Johanson, Elder Svensson, Elder Liddle, Elder Hemmingsen, Elder Burton, Elder Halterman, Elder Larson, Elder Carrigan, Elder Bailey, Elder Bradshaw, and Elder Olsen.  Middle row:  Sister Barrett, Sister Taylor, Sister Crawford, Sister Nielsen, Sister Banks, Sister Harkness, Sister Mecham, and Elder Burke.  Seated are:  Elder and Sister Dyches and Sister and President Beckstrand.

 

Elder Dyches instructed and taught our MLC members on how to be effective leaders through a better understanding of Agency, Responsibility, Taking Control of Your Life, Forgiving, Repentance, the Atonement, Charity, and Accountability.  It was a wonderful instruction and we were so blessed to have Elder and Sister Dychies take the time to spend with us in MLC.

 After our MLC, lunch was served before our missionaries set off for their different areas throughout this beautiful country we call "Sweden."

Thank you Elder and Sister Dyches for a fabulous 4 days of being with you.  We love you and wish you the best on your new assignments with the Quorum of the Seventy in Salt Lake City, Utah.  We will miss you here in Europe and will never forget you and your teachings and love.
