Zone Training

The Month of February, time for Specialized Zone Training!!!!

Wednesday, February 10, 2016, we started our country wide Specialized Zone Training tour off with the first stop in Malmö.  We had a wonderful day with the missionaries in the Malmö Zone.

Sister Beckstrand oriented the missionaries on the new Aetna Insurance Plan for our missionaries here in Sweden.  She did a wonderful job of helping the missionaries understand the new program and how they will receive Medical care in the future here in this wonderful land.

President Beckstrand taught the missionaries about the importance of conversion to the gospel.  He instructed them on the aspects of personal conversion and spiritual conversion.  Too many times we think that conversion happens overnight, when in reality, conversion is a life long process that requires each one of us to be true to the gospel every day.  Conversion comes by being true to the doctrines and keeping the commandments.

The Assistants taught the missionaries the importance of "How to Build Your Area", knowing that the Lord has called you to your specific area at this specific time and that only you can do the work He has sent you to do.  We are to build the church up in our areas and leave our areas better than we found them.  Such marvelous counsel and training from Elder Archibald and Elder Hemmingsen.

 Another aspect of the teaching was the instruction given by members of the church here in Sweden as to the things we, as missionaries, can do to help the members become more involved in the Missionary work here in Sweden.

Thursday, February 11, 2016, we found ourselves in Göteborg, Utby Chapel, meeting with the members of the Göteborg Zone.  Another great day with the missionaries here in the Zone and the training went great, as the Spirit continues to teach each missionary the things that will help him/her to be a better missionary.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016, we flew to Umeå to meet with the members of the Norrland Zone for Specialized Training.  It is always great to be in Norrland.

 The troops are always glad to see us and we are thrilled to be with them in Umeå.

Thursday, February 18, 2016, we found ourselves back in Stockholm to meet with the missionaries of the Stockholm Zone.  We met at the Gubbängen Chapel and had a wonderful training session with our missionaries.

At the afternoon session, we held our "Mission Family Home Evening" and we were treated to a special number from Elder Harrison, Elder Halterman, Elder Blackburn, and Elder Barnes.

Friday, February 19, 2016, we traveled to Västerhaninge to meet with the missionaries of the Stockholm South Zone.  Once again, a wonderful time and great training from the Spirit.  It never ceases to amaze us how the Spirit teaches exactly what is needed at each of these Specialized Zone Trainings.

Tuesday, February 23, 2016, we traveled to Södertälje to conduct our final training with the missionaries of the Södertälje Zone.

 After six Zone Trainings, time to take a deep breath and prepare for March Zone Confernces.  Elder Archibald and Elder Hemmingsen did a wonderful job of teaching and instructing the missionaries.  President Beckstrand loves and appreciates these two wonderful Elders.
